Interview with the Vampire Cosplay at the Kings County Morgue in Hanford, California

Where to start on this cosplay photoshoot!! We decided to do an Interview with the Vampire photoshoot in early 2012, primarily because people kept commenting on how Jonathan looks like Lestat from Interview With The Vampire. When we stumbled upon some lovely wench dresses, we started getting a plan in the works for a photoshoot.

Our roommate at the time, Sean (he’s in tons of our other cosplay shoots) was Louis, our friend Kim’s daughter Emily did Claudia, and Seans girlfriend Brittany and our friend Christy did the two wenches. I was Madeleine. I made the boys costumes from scratch, Kim made Emily’s Claudia dress, and the rest were pre-existing dresses, slightly tweaked for this shoot.

For the photoshoot itself, we borrowed a room in the basement of the Kings County Morgue in my hometown of Hanford, California (the building is partially abandoned) and we were able to borrow a coffin for some shots. Everyone pooled in resources for the props, lighting and set dressing. This was the best shoot we’ve done coordination-wise so far. It was sooooo much fun!!

I confess i haven’t read the book/see the movie, but it sure looks like you all had a lot of fun! Great pictures.

I’d recommend the movie over the books!
