This is another old cosplay for me. My mum made this costume back in 2007 for Anime Detour in Minnesota where I got my first taste of glomping goodness and was forever bitten by the anime convention bug. I had retired this costume till I met Jonathan and we discovered that Trigun is one of our mutual favorite animes.
This series was on the top of our list of costumes to revisit when we were in the process of recycling all of my old costumes, but we had put the costumes on hold till we could afford the red trench coat (figured it would be easier to buy than make) but then lo and behold! Museum Replicas put the coat on clearance for a price far cheaper than the cost to make it from scratch, and we had no choice but to snatch it up. Next we recruited some friends to set a date and location for a photoshoot, and we got the whole cast together! I was Meryl Stryfe, Jonathan was Vash the Stampede, our friend Sean was Nicholas D. Wolfwood, my friend Shauna (check out her blog here) was Rem and a local community theater girl who wanted to get involved was Millie Thompson.
We took the pictures in Kettleman Hills. It was super fun, and I am TOTALLY smitten on my Vash. ^_^
GOOOSH * —-* I can’t help but marvel over the awesome setting and characterizations. It’s so much fuuun. It really got the feel of the series too! Wonderful job to you and your Trigun team! I swear it was totally fun looking at these “animated” photos! You guys really looked like you just jumped out from the series too!
Oh my feeels * v*)/
Thank you for the comment! We LOVED doing this cosplay and photoshoot, it really is one of our favorites! ^_^
Guuuh * q* I’d do anything to shoot in an outdoor setting like that! All the sands and rocks. Unfortunately the weather here is blazing hot and all the good outdoors are away from the city. So enviooous :’D
Hope to see more of you guys! It’s so much fuuuun! *sings*
Have you checked out my Cosplay gallery pictures?? ^_^
