Girls Night with ToGoSpa Natural Eye and Lip Masks

When toddlers are part of your life, at home spa treatments become a cause of celebration with friends!

So when ToGoSpa offered me some samples of their eye and lip mask treatments, I called my best girlies over and we had a night of mimosas and facials.

Or rather, we tried to. You see, my toddler (they really are adorably wretched creatures!) took the eye masks and hid them in my husbands shoes. So when my girlies were over, we were only able to try out the lip masks.

A couple of days later, with the discovery of the eye masks in the shoes, I went ahead and tried out the eye masks solo. But before I give my / our review, allow me to share a bit more about ToGoSpa:

Girls Night With ToGoSpa

So, as I mentioned earlier, when we had our girls night we were only able to use the LIPS treatment. I had to use the hidden-in-the-shoe eyes all by my onesie. So first up is LIPS!

You basically have to open the little foil packet, take the silicon texture moistened lip forms out of the package, and then drape it on your lips. I say drape, because it really did not have any sticky texture to speak of.

If you tried to talk, bend over, whatever, the lips would fall off. This was NOT really a good feature for girls night. Relaxing night all alone with a good book, maybe. Girls night with talking and laughing and making racy jokes, not so much.

There were far too many jokes about the texture and temperature of the lip forms (fermented jizz was mentioned more than once), but the lip treatment was cooling and refreshing, even if it did leave the lips a little on the dry side after treatment.

Now for the eyes! I did these bamboo charcoal eyes all by myself since I found them DAYS after our initial girls night (yay, toddlers!) but I found them to be far more relaxing, and effective than the lips appeared to be.

For one, the eye masks actually stayed on, even with talking and moving around, they stuck pretty firmly to my face. They felt cooling (almost chilly) and refreshing. While I did not see any drastic difference in my eye skin / natural white girl raccoon eyes right away, I can say they felt refreshing and nice. Here are some quick tips from ToGoSpa on how best to use the eye masks:

Tip from ToGoSpa

For an especially refreshing sensation, chill EYES in the refrigerator before applying. Effective in combating puffy eyes, dark circles, bags, and general fatigue.

Use EYES as a pre-photo perk for the perfect picture.

Use EYES as the perfect “Morning After Mask” to diminish dark circles and puffiness and restore a vibrant look after a night on the town.

Use EYES while traveling. Use them in-flight to help relax during the trip, or as a refresher before landing.

EYES are best enjoyed when applied for 15 – 20 minutes in a quiet serene environment. However, EYES can be equally effective on the go.

Aaahahaha, you guys are totally owning it with those lip masks 😀 Love the posing, hee hee. I’ve only tried one lip mask so far, from Sephora, but I did like it.

Hahaha, these girls are nuts, I tells ya! I was happy to sit out as camera girl on this one. 😉

Looks like a fun way to spend the evening even if the treatments didn’t cooperate. The eye masks sound interesting just because they offer that cool and refreshing feel. After hours of looking at the computer screen, cool and refreshing would be good even if it didn’t change the look of my eyes.

Yeah, I cant speak for the lips (I played camera girl on that one) but the eyes were cooling… I think I will save the remaining treatments for pre-photoshoots or hangover mornings, lol!

Lol, what a fun idea for a girls night xD Despite the lip masks not being the best option for such an event, it looks to me like you still had loads of fun with them 😀

Yeah, I wonder if we would have laughed half as much without the act of balancing them on lips! 😉

I’ve seen these lip masks, but I have yet to try one myself. I’m all about at-home spa treatments, I give myself a facial at least once a week, now if I could only figure out how to give myself a mind-blowing massage 😉 You ladies look adorable.

What you don’t realize is that while the girls were busy making themselves all pretty in the dining room, the men were having a grand ol’ time playing with whips and swords and generally needing out over Star Wars!
