Artist Paint Pots and Madison in Yellowstone National Park
14 August, 20152 Min Read
After hitting Gardiner, Montana, this was the first batch of sightseeing we did in Yellowstone!
The Artist Paint Pots trail is an easy hike to several geothermal features in Yellowstone National Park. From the boardwalk, you can see colorful hot springs, two large mudpots, a fumarole, and a couple of geysers. Yellowstone preserves the largest collection of hydrothermal features on the planet, and it was like walking on another world visiting some of these sights!
I’ll be sharing more photos in the coming weeks! <3 <3
Gingi.. these are some great pictures… the trees are so tall, many of ours on the East Coast are smaller. Your little one is adorable, she doesn’t seem to have any fear standing on the fence. Some really great sights xox ♡
Awesome photography, dear! Feeling like I’m right there now. I’m following you now at G+. Do let me know if you’re following me in other the social media sites too, & I’ll follow you back right away. xoxo
I’ve always wanted to visit Yellowstone! These pictures just confirm it more that I need to get my butt out to the West. Nature is amazing, and I bet these all were even more breathtaking in person!!!
It really is like another world. We took a tour when we were there and were shocked to learn how hot that ground actually is – don’t step off the walkway for sure!
Oh my goodness, I am just so in love with all of these photos. I am just sitting here wishing I could see it for myself. But since I can’t, your photos are the nest best thing. I just love this.
I’ve been to Yellowstone twice – once in late September and once in early October and it’s always on my mind this time of year. I can’t wait to go back there someday.
I love your beautiful macro shots of the flowers, but it was the photos of the breathtaking views of the flowing river and the thermal activity that really makes me want to travel to Yellowstone right now! 🙂
It’s such a beautiful national park – the trees look so ancient and imposing!
Wow such a nice place! These pics are breathtaking! I’ll waiting for more pics! Happy Friday!

Yeah, I’d freak out a little whenever Tessa got a little too close to the walkway edges!!
Absolutely gorgeous photos! I am seriously missing my camera, which is still broken. Really lovely photos though, I feel like I’m right there!
