Boycott the Girl Scouts of America?! But.. but.. but! They’re so cute, with their little sashes, and berets, and innocent enthusiasm whilst skirting child labor laws in peddling their thin mints!
Over the years I’ve watched as the Girl Scouts have marched ever closer to a stance that degrades and dishonors motherhood, women and the unborn – but this past year, as millions of innocent Girl Scouts were subjected to Planned Parenthood’s ‘Healthy, Happy and Hot’ flyers to promote extremist partial birth abortion activist politicians like Kathleen Sebelius and Wendy Davis, a line was most certainly crossed. These women are soulless harpies that think full term, fully delivered babies that survived abortions should be dunked in a saline solution to drown and burn to death, rather than helped. Yeah. Not even exaggerating.
The Girl Scouts nudging children to idolize women who champion the “right” to have viable babies brains suctioned out their necks is the last straw for me.
Girls Scouts and Planned Parenthood?!
At this point, buying Girl Scout cookies only serves to further facilitate and fund a very liberal pro-abortion agenda. And that’s just not cool. I don’t want my money funding that crap, and if you value the women and the unborn, you don’t either.
In my opinion? Girls deserve role models that don’t support the barbaric destruction of motherhood and unborn women. And that means the Girl Scouts need to sever their various ties with abortion giant Planned Parenthood.
– Planned Parenthood is a billion dollar enterprise lobbying for physically and psychologically destructive abortion through all nine months of pregnancy.
– Planned Parenthood staff have been caught on film facilitating the destruction of baby girls in the womb, just for being girls.
– Planned Parenthood regularly fights against laws forbidding sex-selection abortion. (Worldwide, more girls are aborted than boys.)
– Planned Parenthood has been caught numerous times covering up rape and incest cases, leaving girls defenseless and victimized in order to make an abortion sale.
– Planned Parenthood kills twice as many innocent human beings every week as died in the terrorist attacks on 9/11/2001.
– Planned Parenthood is thoroughly anti-life, anti-family, and anti-woman.
Across the country, RIGHT NOW, local Girl Scout councils are honoring and promoting abortion advocates and pro-abortion politicians, encouraging small girls work with organizations that fight for abortion on demand, and inviting girls as young as Kindergarten age to attend events related to abortion advocacy, often having Planned Parenthood “counselors” speak to this innocent captive audience.
So why boycott the cookies?
A girl’s troop keeps an average of just 10 to 20 percent of the money she collects from selling cookies. The local council receives an average of 65 to 75 percent of the money collected by all local troops. Girl Scouts of America collects a royalty payment based upon their licensed trademark on every box of cookies produced. Consider that 200 million boxes of cookies are sold annually and the cookie licensing payments account for 5 to 7 percent of the Girl Scouts budget.
This amounts to upwards of 5 million dollars in funding for the Girl Scouts each year.
Most parents and grandparents remain painfully unaware that the Girls Scouts of America have introduced pro-abortion, anti-woman ideology into its curriculum and promotes groups like Planned Parenthood. The “Cookiecott” is intended to raise awareness, bring attention to the issue and demand that the organization go back to their neutral roots, and stop shoving pro-abortion dogma down innocent children’s throats.
The irony is, most of the “heroes” Girl Scouts of America are pushing on these kids were marching in anti-fetus parades when these Girl Scouts were still in the womb. They want these kids to look up to women who were on death marches proclaiming their lack of worth only a few short years ago.

I’m all in, Gingi. I have just spent the last hour reading details about the years of partnership between Girl Scouts USA (GSUSA), World Association of Girl Guides and Girls Scouts (WAGGGS) and Planned Parenthood. Nobody knows this stuff. Nobody is talking about this…until NOW! Keep stirring the pot and posting factual data that true seekers of ‘truth’ will study, become educated and see things for what they are…an agenda to rob girls and women of a safe life: abstinence is the choice, not abortion after the fact.

Glad to see some support. My link to this blog post goes automatically onto my Facebook page, and a couple of “friends” who are self-professed Christians to boot, attacked me for “being a bully”. Becaaaaause, I don’t want my money to go to an organization that is poisoning impressionable young girls with an evil and destructive ideology at a tender age. Ooooookay.
I feel sorry for those who honestly have no idea that these “leaders” are being pushed on their daughters & granddaughters. There will be many hurt feelings & soured relationships over this issue. Here comes that old, “…but a sword” thing Jesus talked about. Satan must be so proud! The ones who survived the infant holocaust are now being groomed to perpetuate it. Please God, open their eyes & hearts!
Yeah, I always wonder at the twisted mindset of those who pounce on newborns, babies and young children as individuals that need to be brought up by “the village”… when these exact human beings were ferociously deemed worthless by the same lot. Makes NO sense.
oh, I didn’t know about that. All the while I thought Girl Scouts RESPECTS living things according to their law. 🙁 too sad..

Parents or guardians make all decisions regarding program participation that may be of a sensitive nature. Consistent with that belief, GSUSA directs councils, including volunteer leaders, to get written parental permission for any locally planned program that could be considered sensitive.

A: No, we did not. In 2010, GSUSA took part in the 54th Commission on the Status of Women at the United Nations. Our participation in that conference was the subject of numerous internet stories and blogs that were factually inaccurate and troubling. Girl Scouts had no knowledge of the brochure in question and played no role in distributing it.

And the PPIN had this to say regarding Rep. Morris’s letter to congress back in 2012:
On the national level, inflammatory and generally inaccurate claims about a partnership between the Girl Scouts and Planned Parenthood have been promoted primarily by anti-choice lawmakers seeking to place pressure on organizations to disassociate or distance themselves from Planned Parenthood. As part of their campaign against the Girl Scouts, these groups are also attacking the Girl Scouts’ policies on sexual orientation and gender identity.
Planned Parenthood currently has no formal partnership with the Girl Scouts, but supports their mission and recognizes their century of contributions to our society.”
Now while they are both stating that they do have no relationship – as a former Girl Scout I feel that the other side should present definitive evidence regarding their stance.
Too often rumors spread like wildfire on the internet that have no actual basis or facts to back up its claim.
My personal stance on the pro-life/pro-choice issue does not matter in this comment – I’m just providing one side’s “stance”. I just want concrete proof on either side.

This website has detailed information with references and links to further information. I’ve been following this topic very closely for years now, and while affiliations are often buried in “partnerships” and “guest speaking” and other smoke screens, Girl Scouts are at the point of out right pro-abortion propaganda. They STILL have on their Twitter timeline links to articles idolizing Abortion Barbie Wendy Davis. So their blatant pro-abortion advocacy and claims to “not take a stance” simply don’t reconcile.

I’ll go read right now because like I said I want to see both sides because I was a Girl Scout. And in all of my time in the organization I NEVER experienced anything like that so it’s sad to see.
Not at all! I’m sad to see both Girl Scouts and American Girl Dolls going this direction. I’m hoping they’ll wise up and go back to being neutral!
Unfortunately, like many companies and organizations, you will find connections in supporting such things. Even the Disney corporation supported their local PP through a grant. Many products consumers use has had or does have their hands in some part of PP. I remember the Pepsi Co thing a few years back, sad. I think this is terrible and in a country where we are consumers it can make it difficult to boycott everything. It reminds me of a story my grandma told me about her generation wanting to stop using things that were not made in the USA (and no I do not believe they are of the same thing, supporting abortion is A LOT worse than buying things made in other countries) however, as time went on it became harder to find products made in the USA and they eventually had to do their best to find products that were. I do not support abortion, I think we need to make people aware and voice our concerns to the companies we know have had relationships with such organizations. However, at the same time, I won’t buy girl scout cookies, but I was a girl scout and can remember helping people, kids, the elderly with things they needed and could not afford. I remember organizing a book donation at school with a fellow girl scout and donating them to an orphanage so those children could have books. It makes it hard, the girls that are in these organizations usually don’t know what is going on. The sales for those cookies go towards camps, meets, etc and if they don’t make the sales sometimes they can’t go because they don’t have the money. A good way to combat this is to say, “I don’t want to buy a box of cookies but I will donate money to you.” Me and my hubby do that. They get to keep more of the money that way. 🙂
That’s a decent idea – the donation vs. cookie purchase. But with so many other groups out there doing things to make the world a better place, I think my money would be better spend (and used) elsewhere. And yes, living in a secular world it is VERY hard to pick and choose who to support financially. I think when it comes to things like Girl Scouts, concerned mothers should enroll their children in local Christian youth chapters.. my hubby was in a Christian equivalent of Boy Scouts growing up.. and shield their daughters from being indoctrinated with these destructive ideologies at such a tender and impressionable age.

Wow, it’s sad to think that such an organization would push ideas on young minds. I was never a Girl Scout, and never wanted to be one, but that’s not what I would think of as things girls should learn about while participating. That’s something that girls should be able to make a personal decision on when they are old enough to understand what it truly entails. As far as not buying cookies I don’t know any current Girl Scouts, so I wouldn’t be buying cookies anyways! 🙂
Yeah, whenever people accuse me of being “just as guilty” for “wanting to indoctrinate girls with pro-life ideals” I just laugh, because really, if women were allowed to make up their own minds – learn the facts on prenatal development, learn the history of abortion, etc. etc… I am perfectly okay with them making up their own minds. 9 times out of 10, educated women choose life. 😉
