Planning My Epic Comeback (Or Something Like That)

Hey all! Gingi here.

So I have been just a liiiiiiiittle quiet for, uhhhh, about half a year now?! Yikes! (For someone obsessed with cranking out a minimum of 3 blog posts a week, that is just all kinds of crazy sauce right there!)
Anyway, I didn’t intend to just drop off the planet, but a combination of insanely intense pregnancy fatigue – yes, you heard that right, I am expecting baby #3! – and focusing on building up my wedding photography business – check me out at Gingi Freeman Photography – made quitting the blog cold turkey for a short season a must.
But here’s the deal… I plan on returning! SOON. Not now. But soon. And I think I might just take my blog a slightly different direction.
See, when I started this blog, I started it as a means of keeping myself sane while my husband was in Navy boot camp. It was a place for me to dump my thoughts, dreams, project and random geekery. Now, since this is my third and LAST baby, I am DETERMINED to get my pre-pregnancy body back once I pop this little guy out. (Yes, it’s a boy!!)
And one of the best ways for me to be accountable is to broadcast my plans, goals, progress, research and so on in a public place.. a place like… MY BLOG!!!
So 2018 is going to be the year of “get it togetherness”. I am going to focus primarily on:
  • Diet and Food
  • Beauty and Self-Care
  • Wellness and Natural Living
  • Fashion and Lifestyle
So my home improvement and family posts are going to take a bit of a backseat while I focus on reclaiming my body, my sanity, my sense of style and my… self? It sounds so selfish as I type it out, but really, it is the BEST TOOL I can give myself in staying on track and pursuing my goals! (Someone please say they understand, lol)
My current timeline looks a little something like this:
  • Have little Rowan Thomas Freeman around Halloween
  • Enjoy a guilt free Thanksgiving and Christmas season filled with sugary things I shouldn’t be eating
  • Launch the New Year with a classic, “Starting on January 1” resolution of working on ME!
Anyhoo, just checking in to let you all know I have NOT disappeared forever! Thanks for sticking around and I will be back in the blogosphere SOON! <3 <3 <3

I missed ya Gingi! I’ve been following you on Facebook and Instagram and I’m happy you are back 🙂 Super excited about baby number 3. As soon as I found out you were pregnant I figured your time was running thin. I hear pregnancy fatigue is no joke. Good luck on your wedding photography business, I know you will hit it out of the park. Yay! I look forward to checking out the new focus, I love all things diet, food, beauty, self-care, and fashion. Be selfish! You deserve it.
