Dr. Seuss books are classics that you probably grew up reading and love to share with your own kids now.
While I grew up with Dr. Suess books in my life, I was never really a big fan of them and actually had no solid intention of going out of my way to introduce these books to my kids. My husband, on the other hand, had other plans, haha. He grew up a HUGE fan of Dr. Suess and was determined to get the kiddos hooked at an early age.. and he was pretty dang successful!
Now, as a homeschool mom, these books have slowly but surely woven their way into my heart. There are just too many bedtime story giggles and learning-to-read story times attached to these books now… they are officially a big “thing” in the Freeman household.
My middle child just finished reading The Cat in the Hat by herself (it was actually in the Sonlight first grade curriculum, so really, there is no avoiding this book, haha) and this book is by far the family favorite. So I decided to make it extra special and set out to find some fun supplementary printables to use in our school day.
One of the wonderful things about homeschooling is the abundance of free resources on the internet! A quick search on the Google machine brought up these fun printable Dr. Seuss coloring pages and worksheets from afunk.com. These made a great fun family activity after we read the book. Check it out!

I wasn’t a fan before, but seeing my kids in love, now I’m a fan too… funny how that works! lol
I always thought the Dr. Seuss books were so much fun. It looks like your kids are really enjoying these worksheets and coloring pages.
They were! They make coloring a part of our every day school, and I do my best to encourage it!
Oh yes I was a big fan of Dr Seuss! Also the Dora the witch books did they have them when you were a kid? I just loved them. Did you change the design of your blog? It looks SO GOOD and loving the the photography.
