I created this blog a little over ten years ago when I was pregnant with my firstborn and my husband had just joined the military and I anticipated going stir crazy during our separations. (I was right.) Domestic Geek Girl started out as a personal “dear diary” style journal into my forays into motherhood and keeping house. Now, I like to blog about topics pertaining to our ever expanding journey into the everyday adventure as we strive to live vibrantly and embrace joy here in Central Florida, just minutes from our laughing place – Walt Disney World!
This blog is the random discoveries and projects we embark upon as I strive to balance my apron-clad family life with my still-a-kid-at-heart, Disney obsessed, nerdy indulgences. Here you’ll find play and pixie dust as I learn and grow as a homeschool mother, an artist and a small business owner.

My husband and I are equally passionate about our nerdy pursuits, the finer things in life and our domestic domicile. We like to think of ourselves as cultured geeks. It’s not unusual for us to pair a nice wine and cheese and then settle down for an evening of Disney movies and crafting EVA foam for Halloween decorations and holiday projects.
My husband is recently separated from the Navy in Whidbey Island, Washington in the gorgeous Pacific Northwest and we have begun our journey to find our Happily Ever After and are busy pursuing our vibrant, adventurous and joy filled life in Florida near our laughing place – Disney World!
