Picture this: you’re chowing down on a giant mouthwatering burger, surrounded by towering animatronic dinosaurs, while a meteor shower lights up the sky every 20 minutes. No, you haven’t stumbled into a time machine mishap – you’re dining at T-REX in Disney Springs, and it’s an experience unlike any other!
Our adventure began when we decided to treat ourselves to a meal at T-REX after having a hard week moving into Florida! As soon as we stepped foot inside, we were transported back in time to the prehistoric era, complete with roaring T-Rexes, majestic Stegosauruses, and even a few friendly Triceratops. The kids’ eyes practically popped out of their heads with excitement – and that was before we even laid eyes on the menu!
Speaking of the menu, it was filled with delicious options for both kids and adults alike. From hearty burgers to flavorful salads, there was something for everyone to enjoy. Of course, we couldn’t resist trying the Mushroom and Swiss Burger, and it did not disappoint. Juicy beef, melty cheese, and perfectly sautéed mushrooms.. it was GIANT and we were floored when we learned that they had an even bigger size available to order. I genuinely can’t imagine what their bigger sized burger looks like.
But the real highlight of our meal? The meteor shower that happened every 20 minutes, casting an otherworldly feel over the entire restaurant. It was like dining under the stars – if the stars were hurtling balls of fire from outer space, that is!
And our waiter was an absolute gem. Not only was he attentive and friendly, but when he overheard that we had just moved to Florida and wanted to celebrate, he suggested we have a fake birthday – and of course, my middle child couldn’t resist the chance to be the center of attention. Cue the fake birthday song and a round of giggles from our table – it was the perfect way to cap off our meal!
But the fun didn’t stop there. After dinner, the kids made their own stuffed dinosaurs at Build-a-Dino and then had a blast playing in the paleontologist digging play pit, uncovering fossils and pretending to be archeological adventurers. It was the perfect end to an unforgettable dining experience – one that we’ll be heading back to soon!
So if you ever find yourself in Disney Springs craving a meal fit for a dinosaur enthusiast, do yourself a favor and head to T-REX. Just be prepared to be transported back in time – and maybe even have a fake birthday or two along the way!
Adventure awaits,
