Hey there, fellow adventurers! My husband and I are still in the early stages of what I have termed a “Disney Date Frenzy”. We are finally living close to our laughing place, and our kids are finally old enough to leave home for short stretches of time, making spontaneous date nights a really real thing for us. It’s fantastic!

I was shocked to learn that a lot of my new local friends have never even been to Disney Springs, opting for the theme parks and resorts instead, so if you fall into this category, for the love of Mickey, you NEED to check it out. It’s a vibrant entertainment complex offering SO MUCH shopping, dining, and entertainment options it’ll make your head spin (in a good way, trust me, haha). From world-class restaurants to charming boutiques (many of them Disney themed) and captivating live entertainment, there’s something for everyone to enjoy at this bustling waterfront destination.
But one of the most magical aspects of Disney Springs is its lineup of live music performances at various stages throughout the area. From jazz and blues to rock and pop, you’ll find an eclectic mix of musical genres that take place all evening long, and the schedule is usually set to overlap, so if one stage winds down for a break, you are just steps away from another stage just getting started.

Last night, my husband and I decided to take advantage of this wonderful opportunity for a romantic date night and it was SO. MUCH. FUN. We packed a backpack food cooler with sodas and snacks, grabbed a cozy blanket, and made our way to the AdventHealth Waterside Stage just as the sun began to set.
The band performing that evening was Free Cadence – a talented group known for their uncannily accurate pop music covers (they sound just like the songs they cover, from The Beatles to Maroon 5). For 45 minutes, we cuddled up and sang along to their live performance. It was the perfect blend of music, atmosphere, and quality time spent together, all against the backdrop of the Rainforest Cafe volcanic eruptions and the Disney Springs hustle and bustle.
My husband and I are so incredibly grateful for such a magical evening here in our new home just minutes from Disney World. And the best part? It didn’t cost us a penny! With live music performances happening regularly at Disney Springs, there’s no shortage of opportunities to enjoy a memorable date night without breaking the bank and this WILL be a regular thing for us moving forward.
