Howdy, fellow adventurers! Today, I’m rustlin’ up some tales from the wild frontier of Disney dining. So grab your ten-gallon hat and saddle up because we’re heading to the Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe for a rootin’, tootin’ good time!
I had been hankering to eat here ever since our Disney World vacation in 2019 when I had to run inside to use the restroom and realized, WHOA. This window service restaurant looks amazing and smells great too. I put it HIGH on our list of places to check out once we moved to Florida and got our annual passes.. and here we are! Day one of our annual passes and it’s Pecos Bill time!
Now, before we dive into the grub, let’s mosey on down memory lane and talk about the legendary Pecos Bill himself. If you grew up in the golden age of Disney animation like I did, you’ll likely remember the tall tales of this larger-than-life cowboy. Pecos Bill’s adventures, whether wrangling tornadoes or lassoing a mountain lion, captivated audiences with their blend of humor and heart. And who could forget that catchy theme song that had us all yodeling along?
But enough reminiscing, let’s talk vittles! We sauntered into Pecos Bill’s hungry as a bear in hibernation, and I wrangled myself a plate of their Pork Carnitas Rice Bowl. This dish is as satisfying as a long day on the trail. The cilantro rice provides a zesty base for the tender, seasoned pork, while the grilled peppers and onions add a kick of flavor that’ll make your taste buds do a square dance. Throw in some pinto beans, lettuce, tomato, sour cream, and salsa, and you’ve got yourself a hearty meal fit for a cowboy king!
And what’s a meal without a sweet treat to round things off? We couldn’t resist taming a plate of their Mini Churros with Chocolate Sauce – I had heard great things on the Disney forums about how these make a great choice for a snack credit. These golden delights are crispy on the outside, soft on the inside, and paired perfectly with a rich, velvety chocolate sauce that’ll have you feeling like you struck gold.
While the food was good, what sold this place for me was the atmosphere at Pecos Bill’s. This ain’t your average walk-up window joint, folks. Nope, here you’re transported straight into the heart of the Wild West, with rustic decor, cowboy memorabilia, and plenty of nods to Pecos Bill himself. The ambiance is lively and bustling, with folks chowing down on grub and swapping tales of their own adventures in the Magic Kingdom.
What really sets Pecos Bill’s apart, though, is the eatertainment factor. As you munch on your grub, it’s the perfect way to soak up some frontier fun while you refuel for your next adventure in the park. If you’re looking for a taste of the Wild West with a side of Disney magic, look no further than Pecos Bill Tall Tale Inn and Cafe. With delicious grub, lively atmosphere, and a healthy dose of eatertainment, it’s a must-visit for cowpokes of all ages. So next time you find yourself wandering the dusty streets of Frontierland, be sure to mosey on over to Pecos Bill’s for a meal that’s sure to satisfy even the hungriest of trailblazers.
Happy trails, y’all!
