Hello friends! So a week or so ago I launched my first ever reader survey to get a better grasp of who is reading, why you are reading, and what you’d like to see more of.
As I stated before, I blog primarily for myself. This blog is pretty much my brain toilet. (Okay, yeah, we probably didn’t need that visual.)
When I first started this blog it was intended to ONLY be a personal journal with maybe a couple of geeky craft tutorials. I envisioned lots of movie reviews, cosplay photoshoots, and anime and comic book convention coverage. But as Tessa’s birth approached I found myself focusing more on natural living, educational posts and lifehacks. At the moment, those topics dominate my blog.
Domestic Geek Girl is where I go to sort my new discoveries, research cool topics, understand the way the world works and basically empty out my thoughts, my obsessions and chronicle my journey into motherhood.
Keeping up this blog has offered me personal growth, friendship with many of my subscribers, and many fun opportunities to review fun products and meet cool people. I have no frikkin’ idea why I was not doing this waaaay sooner.
Through it all, this blog has taken on a life of its own and I am just now getting a firm grasp on what it’s all about… with your help! I’m looking forward to many more years of blogging about my domestic journey toward natural living, faith-based parenting and all things geeky. I hope you continue to stick around for the ride!
The fact that you care to follow along and listen to my voice, out of all the countless voices yammering out into the endless void of Internet-land – well, that means the world to me! My blog is just one drop in the bucket of Mom Blogs out there, but your support and friendship makes it something special! Thank you, thank you, thank you!
Anyhoo, Domestic Geek Girl reader survey results are in! Check it out!
So what do you think of the results? Sound about right to you? Share below!
Awww, that’s a really cool demographic! Not at all surprised that most readers are female, but I’m shocked that only half of them are foodies!! I mean come on, who doesn’t love food??
Hahaha, I am trying to figure out what I need to do to get more male readers. It’s odd. All my friends in real life and generally guys. All my internet friends are ladies. What gives?!

Yeah, I was surprised at the low number of foodies myself! WHY YOU NO LIKE TO EAT?!?!
I agree on the favorite topics, but I’m demographically an outlier. 🙂

Definitely sounds about right!
Note if I can only get my blog of and going! Poor thing has been so neglected recently. *sad face*
You need to start guest blogging for me, haha.. I need to kidnap you and make you write for me… bwahahaha!
Hahahaha
