My precious little princess Thyme just turned TWO YEARS OLD over the weekend!!
Since we spent WAY too much money on Tessa’s 3 year birthday party, we learned our lesson that until the kiddos are older, smaller and more family oriented is the way to go when the kids are so young.
So instead of a huge party, we invited immediate family and attended the annual Frogs and Fairytales event at the Fresno Chaffee Zoo, where kids are encouraged to dress as princesses and knights, and meet frogs, snakes, turtles and lizards up close! Our kids had an absolute blast.
Here are some photos of Thymes birthday at the zoo!
This looks like a wonderful idea. Actually, I may take my 6 -year-old to the zoo for his upcoming birthday. I decided 2017 is a family party year, until I get my earning power up…
The zoo is such a wonderful place to take the kiddos.. they love it, and it is educational to boot! <3
Your kids are adorable. What a great idea for a kids birthday. She looked like she had a great time too.
Awwww, thank you! Yeah, she had a blast, LOVED seeing the frogs!!
Happy Birthday to your previous little Thyme! Looks like she had a magical celebration!
She did! She even picked out her Minnie Mouse dress herself, hehe!
What a beautiful girl in her princess outfit! π My daughter would love this as a bday party!

Awww, thank you Carrie!! <3
OMG that crown, so freakin adorable. Happy Birthday Thyme!!!!! I like the idea of having a intimate party for younger kids. Itβs special they can enjoy all the hoopla later in life. Family is so important. This Frogs and Fairytale event sounds like something even I would love. She is such a cutie Gingi.
Yeah, they had a little crown decorating station, where the kids could make their own princess crowns.. it was sooooo adorable!! Thanks for the kind words Mary! <3
What a gorgeous birthday for a gorgeous baby! her dress is so sweet π love your family snaps x
Thanks! I think my girls are such little cuties!! (But of course, I am biased! hehe)
Sounds like it was amazing event, good to hear that your kids were blast π

I’ll try again on my laptop and see how that works.
What a wonderful day for a princess.
Have a fabulous day and weekend. βΊ
I noticed my comment count has gone down and wondered if something was up! Thanks for the heads up, I will look into it…
That sounds like a great way to make kids more comfortable with nature and animals, something a lot of kids miss out on these days.

Ugh! People keep telling me they are having trouble commenting! I will look into it and see what the problem might be!
this sounds like so much fun! a bunch of friends had their birthday parties at happy hollow (a farm and mini amusement park in san jose) when we were little, and these pictures are bringing back those good memories (:
Sounds like a place I would want to visit! hehe
Aww, what a fun day! Great pics. π

Thanks Ashley! <3
How exciting! What a great way to celebrate being 2-years-old! I’m finally learning to just enjoy every minute with my girlies, time (or is it Thyme =) flies by so quickly. And with baby #3 comes in the weeks ahead, I know I’d better celebrate every minute of it. And who said money can’t buy happiness…..$50,000 in infertility treatments and 4.5 years later (and lots and lots of prayer) and we have a baby!!!
Oh wow! I had no idea you went through treatments!! But working on baby #3?! SO HAPPY FOR YOU DEAR!!! <3
Happy Birthday to your princess
Cute photos! Looked like a fun place for the kids.
This looks like such a fun day out – perfect for a kids Birthday party!
