Being a geeky parent comes with a whole slew of responsibilities that “normal” parents cannot even begin to fathom. Once you see that double line on a pregnancy stick, urgent questions begin percolating: How old does she have to be before 20 sided die are no longer a choking hazard? How can we introduce her to Star Wars Episodes 1 through 3 without ruining her childhood? And the all-important, “What kind of geeky chic baby clothes will we put her in to establish her geek cred?”
So you can imagine my delight when the owner of Geekling Designs, an online store that specializes in geek related clothing and accessories for kids and parents, stumbled upon my page and contacted me for a geek shirt review and giveaway! Ummm, yes please?!
Geekling Designs has an impressive selection of geeky genres ranging from Dr. Who to Big Bang Theory to Star Trek and everything in between. Along with the selection of nerd-tastic baby onesies, the shop offers maternity tees, parent and child top sets, bibs, crochet hats and more. It’s pretty much the domestic geeks dream store.
There were far too many drool-worthy shirts to choose from, and I was feeling rather saucy (and indecisive), so I asked Geekling Designs to send me “anything geek-tastic for Tessa to wear”, and put the genre / selection in their hands. A geek litmus test? Perhaps. Hehe! Then we received this princess pink Dr. Who Dalek “Exterminate” tee… Test = Passed!
How adorable! She’s got such attitude…I love the ‘what?’ stance. She’s starting to look more and more like Jonathan, especially those expressive eyebrows.
Yeah, my friend Spring made a meme out of that pic that says, “Nap time? Come at me bro.” haha! And yeah, I see Jonathan in her more and more every day!

Oh my gosh, she is so adorable. Is that lipstick or are her lips naturally hot pink? I wish I had a little munchkin to give one of these adorable tees to.
She actually has very pink lips.. I did too as a young baby. I amped up the contrast in photoshop since the background was so boring, so it made her lips REALLY pop.. but yeah, I’m going to try to keep her blissfully ignorant of make-up for as long as possible, haha..

My boys started watching a Dr. Who marathon last Sunday – now they are hooked!
lol, it was hard getting pictures of her this time (normally she’s a cam ham).. some homeless guy in the park had a dog that kept running loose, and Tessa kept trying to go pet the dog. Every time we’d distract her, the dog would run up to her, and into the shot. And when the guy would call his dog back, she would take off after it. SO FRUSTRATING!! Leash laws, people!!! lol
