I love discovering new essential oil mixtures to use in my bedroom aromatherapy diffuser. I feel like an old-timey alchemist mixing and matching my various essential oils to find the one that just zings.
I’m all about the ambiance of a room and I do my best to curate the senses to match the mood of each room and it’s various functions. Smell plays such a vital role in setting the scene and the mood of each room. I love intentionally crafting stress-melting scents, allowing myself and others to fully settle into the mini oasis. Diffusers are awesome, because unlike candles, you can easily swap out your diffuser mixture and customize the scents based on your mood or the time of day.
I recently shared a “Sexy Bedroom Mix”, and while I’m still in love with the vibe it infuses the room with, I’m not always in the mood for a sultry scent. I also have a “Sleepy Time Mix” that just permeates the room with sleepy-time vibes. But I’m not always in a sleepy mood in my bedroom! What’s a gal to do?!
So I recently discovered what I’m now dubbing the “Bedroom Oasis Mix”. This mix is for those times I find myself spending an extended time in my bedroom (primping, pampering myself, taking a mid-day meditation break, reading a book, etc.) but not ready to cozy up with the hubby or settle down for sleep.
Bedroom Oasis Essential Oil Mix
2 drops of ylang-ylang essential oil
2 drops of lavender essential oil
2 drops of lemon essential oil
2 drops of rosemary essential oil
This mixture is the perfect mix of chill and energy. The ylang-ylang and lavender helps to soothe and calm the senses, while the lemon and rosemary has an uplifting, energizing and mind-clarifying effect.
Trust me, taking a few moments to create a clear, soothing space is worth it!
